AGES 6 AND UP · PLACENTIA, CA

Build Confidence. Develop Discipline. Have Fun.

Youth fitness and martial arts programs for kids who are ready to work — and parents who want to see the difference.

West Coast Athletics runs youth programs that are built for kids, not scaled-down adult classes. The focus is on movement fundamentals, coordination, confidence, and the kind of discipline that shows up at home and in school — not just in the gym. Whether your child is six years old and brand new to structured activity, or a teenager preparing for a competitive sport season, there's a program at WCA built for where they are right now.

Three Programs. One Gym. Every Age Group.

Youth programs at WCA are segmented by age and purpose — so parents can find the right fit, and kids are always training with peers at a similar stage.

Kids Fitness Classes

Ages 6–12

Movement fundamentals, coordination development, and fun competitive games that build teamwork and athletic confidence without martial arts contact. A structured environment where kids learn to listen, follow instruction, and push themselves — tools that go well beyond the gym floor.

What to ExpectAge-appropriate fitness circuits, coordination drills, team games, and basic athletic movement patterns. No prior experience required.

Youth Martial Arts

Ages 6 and up · mixed levels

Introduction to martial arts fundamentals — striking basics, movement, discipline, and self-confidence — in a structured, supervised environment. Youth martial arts at WCA emphasizes respect, focus, and controlled technique over competition. A great first exposure to boxing or BJJ for kids who are curious but not ready for adult classes.

What to ExpectAge-appropriate technique instruction, controlled partner drills, and a structured class format that rewards effort and attitude over raw ability.

Youth Sports Performance

Teen athletes & competitive youth

Sport-specific conditioning for student athletes preparing for a season, building in the off-season, or working toward a competitive level in their sport. Speed, agility, strength, and endurance programming designed around what young athletes actually need — not adult performance templates scaled down.

What to ExpectSpeed and agility drills, sport-specific conditioning circuits, strength fundamentals appropriate for developing athletes, and movement quality work that reduces injury risk.

One Block from Valencia High School.

West Coast Athletics is on Bradford Avenue — walking distance from Valencia High School and a short drive from schools across North Placentia. After-school training is practical here in a way it isn't at gyms across town. Student athletes can train between the final bell and dinner. Parents can drop off and pick up without rearranging the evening.

For families in the Bradford Center area, the proximity isn't a convenience — it's the reason WCA is part of the weekly routine for a lot of local kids.
